By the mid-late 1970s, South Africa's Apartheid policies were increasingly condemned internationally, and many countries began boycotting South African rugby. International tours were cancelled and the Springboks faced restrictions on playing official test matches. These were the years of isolation and this video chronicles the lost era of South African rugby beginning appropriately against the World XV and reaching a crescendo peak with the violent and controversial New Zealand Cavaliers 1986 tour.
