The notorious bounty hunter, Luke Chilson, pursues Mexican fugitive Jose Gomez (Tomas Milian). He follows him through the desert and arrives in a Mexican village where Gomez manages to turn the peasants against his pursuer. Unaware of the danger, Chilson finds himself trapped.
